My body was covered withe more scales than usual. From the waste down I was a snake. From the waste up a demon. My normally green eyes glowed red with blood lust. My fangs grew and dripped with poison. My scales thickened. I needed something. A moment later I recognized the need.
I needed to kill.
I roared, a demonic, ancient sound. I opened a portal, not caring where it took me, as long as there was a war to fight in there. It took me to Greece, on a cliff overlooking the Battle of Thermopylae. I didn't need a sword,so I jumped directly into the fray. I fell through the air like a brick, landing on a soldier. I lashed out and connected with the nearest person. I pulled my self onto the soldier I had struck and hissed, face to face with the bearded man."Hello,I don't sssuppose you know where I could find king Xerxes, do you?" I said in a dry, raspy voice sure to scare him silly. I might as well have been a zombie!
"I-I cant tell you! If I tell you he'll-he'll hurt me!" the man whimpered.
"I'm here, he isn't, and I'm worse, so start talking before I crush you!"
The man pointed in the direction of a huge temple that I could have sworn wasn't there a second ago. Then I realized it was a palenki, not a palace.
"Thanks." I said.
But then a portal opened up right in front of me, and guess who stepped out?
Nice post! I like your beginning. Also the cliffhanger at the end is great!
